While Krabi is typically a gateway to the unhinged party island of Koh Phi Phi, it still boasts an excellent nightlife scene, especially along the main road along Ao Nang Beach as well as Railay Beach as well.
Exceptionally cheap and at times, wild, Krabi can be too much for some people, and not enough for others. Where To Party In Krabi
When we discuss the Krabi nightlife scene, it’s not to be confused with the town of Krabi which is 25 minutes northeast of the main beach town where you’ll find the best parties. Do not let this deter you from visiting the main town, they also have decent nightlife as well as a cool walking street at night.
As mentioned above, our favourite spot to party in Krabi is the main stretch of road leading towards Ao Nang Beach as well as the road parallel to the beach. Along the road next to the beach you’ll find a little nightlife zone with many bars and clubs next to each other, sometimes referred to as just “Center Point.”
You’ll also find an area called “Soi RCA” further up the main road which is full of many bars and nightclubs, and can be considered more of the redlight district for Krabi with lots of go-go bars.
If you check out Railay Beach (which you definitely should) then you’ll be surprised to see that there are a lot of bars and restaurants here, which is cool because this area can only be reached by boats, no roads lead here.
If you happen to find yourself in Krabi Town, then be sure to checkout the unique night market and walking street, as well as some of the cool local spots such as Booze Bar or The Living Room, a trendy expat dive bar.
No matter where you find yourself in Krabi, you’re bound to find a place to party and enjoy the nightlife scene, whether that be at your hostel, a simple bar or pulling an all-nighter at a nightclub.
Krabi Nightlife & Safety Tips
– You won’t find places charging cover in Krabi, or most beach towns in Thailand for that matter.
– Dress casual, it’s a beach town not Bangkok. There is no dress code in Krabi
– Like all of Thailand, drinking is allowed on the street, so save yourself some money and pre drink at 7-Eleven.
– Krabi is small so you can really walk everywhere, unless you’re going to the main town or Railay beach.
How Expensive is it to party in Krabi
Krabi is one of the cheapest beach towns in Thailand, and perhaps in the world. Prices will be similar to Koh Phi Phi, Koh Phangan, or many of the other islands in Thailand.
Krabi is a popular backpacking destination full of cheap hostels, bars, and tourists looking to save money and party on a budget. If you really want to save money, pre drink at your hostel or at a 7-Eleven, and buy buckets when going out to share – bulk buy!

Make sure to try the wonderful tacos and great cocktails here. The DJ playing electronic and house music usually goes until midnight.
Boogie Bar
This spot is an absolute gem, with live music all night every night, world-class cocktails, and exceptional food, the atmosphere and lively crowd will keep you coming back for more. You can’t experience the best of Krabi nightlife without checking this place out.
Bang Bang Bar
Also located in Railay Beach, one of the most popular bars in the area with fantastic cocktails that you must try, especially the frozen margaritas! It’s a very small spot, more of a hole in the wall, but you’re bound to have a good time meeting strangers and talking with the friendly owner.
Reggae Town Bar & Restaurant
One of the most happening spots in Krabi is Reggae Town Bar & Restaurant, located further up the main street. You’re going to love the vibes at this place, incredibly friendly people, great reggae music and cheap drinks really is the essence of what Krabi nightlife is all about.
Factory Beer Garden
If you find yourself Krabi Town, make sure you don’t miss the happening Factory Beer Garden, an open air spot popular with locals and expats. With live Thai music almost every night, reasonably priced beer, and a lively crowd this for sure is one of the best spots to drink in Krabi town.
The Living Room
Also located in Krabi Town, The Living Room is really an expat bar also popular with tourists and locals. The beers are cheap and the people that hang out here are friendly and nice.
If you’re looking for a hip spot to hang out, play pool, meet new friends and listen to live music, this is your spot.
Best Nightclubs in Krabi
While there are no real ‘nightclubs’ in Krabi in the true sense of the word, there are several late night bar/clubs that one could consider nightclubs. If you’re idea of the ideal Krabi nightlife involves nightclubs, you might not find what you’re expecting as the town is very small.
That being said, Center Point parallel to Ao Nang beach and soi RCA further up the main road offer a good ‘nightclub’ experience, with several bars turning into dancing spots later on in the night. We will list the best ones here.
Balcony Party Hostel
If you’re really looking to party until the early hours of the morning, you should definitely stay at Balcony Party Hostel. No it’s not a nightclub, but you’re sure to have wild and fun time here. It’s located in Center Point which is full of clubs and bars so if you’re looking to get sleep here, it’s probably best to avoid it.
You are also allowed to come as a guest and checkout the impressive rooftop and party into the night, meeting and mingling with tourists. Due to the pandemic the place has been shut down for the past two years but has recently reopened!
Upbeat Bar Ao Nang
Probably one of the hottest nightlife spots in Krabi, Upbeat Bar Ao Nang located in Center Point is our favourite spot to go partying late into the night. With great DJ’s playing electronic music, affordable prices, locals and tourists dancing and mingling, it’s a place you can’t miss if you’re looking for the best Krabi nightlife.
Ole Bar

As mentioned before, RCA is an area full of many bars, clubs and go-go bars. It’s not only a place to find and pick up Thai girls though, there are several bars and clubs here such as the previously mentioned Bamboo Bar, Kiss Bar and Your Bar. Give it a chance.
